2026 MSR Spun Fiber Yardage Challenge
The Maine Spinners' Registry is running a spun fiber yardage challenge for 2026. The idea is to track how much you spin from Roc Day 2026 to Roc Day 2027. We may be amazed at how much yarn we collectively spin over the year. Hopefully, this will be a fun way to incentivize us to spin more. We are working on the possibility of a prize or two for this challenge. Below, there is a link to the form you can use to submit your yardage and to a spreadsheet that is collecting the data, so we can all see how we are doing as a group. The forms submitted for the challenge can't be changed once submitted, but MSR Board Members can change the spreadsheet, if you realize you have made a mistake or would like to add to a submitted form.

2026 MSR Color of the Year
To spice things up even more, the Registry has also started a color of the year award. The color was chosen at random from a pot full of crayons at the Roc Day Spin-in. The person that picked the color was chosen in a spin the wool-wash bottle game! The color is orange. Get your orange on! Let's see throughout the year what fiber is spun, and projects are completed with the color orange, with a grand finale show and tell at Roc Day 2027!
